Junie Lamour was born and raised in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and came to the United States at seventeen. The paperwork, the waiting, and the particular fear of getting one form wrong are not abstractions to her. She went through them before she ever represented anyone else going through them.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, cum laude, from Florida International University, and her Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University's Shepard Broad College of Law. During law school she served as President of the Immigration Law Organization, Vice President of the Christian Legal Fellowship Society, and a junior staff member of the ILSA Journal of International and Comparative Law.
Today she represents clients before USCIS and the Immigration Courts in family petitions, asylum, naturalization and removal defense, and she represents injured clients across South Florida. She works in English, Haitian Creole, French and Spanish, so her clients explain what happened in the language they actually think in.
